    2013年12月13日下午，北卡州立大学公共管理专业博士候选人杨峥访问管理与经济学院并作题为“Networks within Network: Learning from the Healthy Carolinians Project”的学术报告。报告会由李亚教授主持。

    杨峥介绍了她所在团队两年来对美国北卡州公共健康组织之间合作伙伴关系（partnership）的研究。该研究通过问卷调查与计量统计发现当地公共健康组织之间的合作伙伴关系中广泛存在着共用成员的情况，并且对于较大的合作伙伴关系，成员组织在网络中的位置对于组织影响力十分重要。其间杨峥详细讲解实证研究的过程，并就如何做好本专业研究的问题与在场的老师、同学进行了深入的交流。最后，公共冲突解决研究中心研究助理何鉴孜代表主办方介绍了该中心近两年的研究工作。
    晚上，必威·BETWAY公共事业管理2004级毕业生马琳、韦春、周蔓回访学院，与杨峥一起和公共管理系的本科生、研究生座谈交流，分享自己出国、工作等的经验与体会，为师弟师妹未来的发展规划提出了许多中肯的建议。

杨峥简介：
    Zheng YANG is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Administration at North Carolina State University (U.S.A). She has been a member of the Firechasers project at NC State University, studying inter-agency coordination and communication during large wildfires. She has also been working for the Collaborative Partnerships Mapping Project to study what explains partnership influence and effectiveness. Before coming to the program, she received both her B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration from Beijing Institute of Technology. She has worked as an intern consultant in Progress Strategy Consulting Co., one of the biggest consulting companies in China. She also has years of working experience in TAL Education Group as a part-time English teacher for K-12 students. She is currently working as a teaching assistant for the course of Management System and Research Methodology of Political Science at NC State. Her current research interests include collaboration and networks, performance management, and comparative studies between Chinese and American administrative systems.
